Our foundry casts this bronze reclining figure statue in several hollow sections, which keeps the metal wall even around the large opening in the hip. After casting, our welders join the sections along the natural folds of the figure, and our artists carve the rough texture back over every seam by hand, so you cannot see where the pieces meet. We also build a steel support inside the long legs and fix the figure to its base plate, so it stays firm and level outdoors for many years.
