Traditional Lost-Wax Bronze Casting Process

Once the bronze is cast, these same details often come out slightly blurred by casting flash and mold seams. Artisans then hand-chase the surface with chisels and files. They re-sharpen the whisker points, separate the claws on each paw, and deepen the wrinkles around the mouth and nose.

Dark Patina Finish for Weathering and Depth

The black tiger statue receives a multi-layer dark bronze patina, with chemical treatment and torch work developing a deep black-brown tone. Subtle highlights appear along the raised muscle areas. This finish is not painted. It forms a genuine oxidized surface that bonds to the bronze itself, so it will not peel or fade like a paint coating.
